From the seemingly inexhaustable production line of talented French producers comes Dyed Soundorom. Another of Dan Ghenacia`s Freak `n` Chic stable, his immersion to dance music came through promoting the capital`s infamous React parties, where he gradually became part of his compatriot`s circle, and DJing spawned dates at home as well as London at Foreign Muck, T-Bar and Fabric. After being given the reigns for the label`s first compilation in 2007, his first EP lands in 2008.
Question is a lush, deep cut of late-night tech-house. Simple melodies and rhythms, with a solid groove and a striking vocal sample all combine into a seriously classy track. It`s balanced, with nothing overdone, and well-constructed. Infectious, while less forceful, utilises the same deft keys and punchy percussion that its counterpart displays so cleverly. There`s a retro feel to the handclaps, and from this pair of tracks Dyed`s years of music knowledge is here for all to see. A classy start to his career.
